Reaction time test

When the red box turns green — click as fast as you can. Five rounds, your average, and a rank. How fast are your reflexes?

⚡ Tip: use a mouse, sit close, and don't blink. Scores stay on your device.

Reflexes, measured honestly

🎮

Gamer benchmark

FPS and MOBA performance leans on visual reaction speed. Test before and after warming up — the difference is real.

Caffeine experiment

Test before and 30 minutes after coffee. (Sleep deprivation works the other way — dramatically.)

🧠

Friendly competition

Pass the laptop around — a 5-round average makes it fair, and the best score sticks around to beat.

Reaction time FAQ

Does my monitor affect the score?

Yes — a 60 Hz display adds up to 16 ms versus a 144 Hz one, plus input lag. Compare scores on the same setup.

Why am I slower on some days?

Sleep, caffeine, time of day and warm-up all shift reaction time by 20–50 ms. It's a fun proxy for alertness.

Mouse or touchscreen — which is faster?

Usually a mouse: touchscreens add touch-processing delay. Phones typically score 30–60 ms slower than desktops.
